NAWBO Wichita Area members realize that our businesses can be successful only if our community is successful.

Therefore, each year we sponsor the annual BUSINESS BLAST. We procure a nationally recognized speaker and invite the business community to enjoy a motivational, inspiring evening.

Proceeds from the Business Blast benefit our charitable outreach and our efforts on behalf of women business owners in the community.

NAWBO Wichita Area's Charitable Outreach:

Carpenter Place- (formerly Maude Carpenter Children’s Home) which began in 1943 and has now evolved into a residential treatment center for girls in crisis. It currently includes family training and counseling so families can be successfully reunited. They accept no federal aid, but are dependent on private donations from individuals, organizations and churches.

Dress for Success- which promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a support network and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
